09 August 2017, Mary Kay "Pink Changing Lives" Single Mother Head-To-Toe Makeover
Stepping into the 8th year as a CSR Partner, this year, Mary Kay Malaysia decided to give a Head-To-Toe Makeover for 9 Single Mothers.
These Single Parent strive above difficulties and hardships to raise their children. Despite the limitations and challenges, they have never back down. So we decided to give a Day of Pampering and Relaxation to encourage these mothers. Ultimately, we want to make these mothers to feel being Loved, Appreciated and Valued.
Madam Christina, one of the mothers who was diagnosed with breast cancer early this year is undergoing Chemotherapy now. She was so happy for being invited to this makeover session. Due to the chemotherapy, she lost all her hair. "Thanks for making me feeling beautiful again!" said Christina with much gratitude.
To raise a family, as a Single parent, the burden is excruciatingly heavy. Often time, these mothers have to sacrifice their needs and wishes for their children. They worked so hard night and day, some of them even took up two jobs in a day.
Thanks to Mary Kay for your thoughtfulness in organizing this makeover session. Besides, Mary Kay Malaysia also pledge a donation of RM 30,000.00 to us through the Pink Changing Lives CSR Campaign, as to sustain the implementation of our community programs in three core areas - Health, Food and Education.
We have specially made a video to record the wonderful moments of the makeover session, nd you may check out the video on our YouTube Channel by clicking HERE.

DoubleTree by Hilton KL Instilling Confidence to Single Mothers
11 March 2017, DoubleTree by Hilton Kuala Lumpur's International Women's Week Single Mothers Outreach Program
In conjunction with International Women's Day, we are so privileged as 11 Single Mothers were invited to DoubleTree by Hilton Kuala Lumpur to have a day of motivational talk, learning and pampering sessions.
We wanna thank DoubleTree by Hilton Kuala Lumpur for your kind invitation, the thoughtfulness and efforts in organizing the program with the activities that have brighten up the day of these 11 Single Mothers. Be Bold for Change is the theme for this year's International Women's Day. Align with the theme, DoubleTree by Hilton invited two influential individuals and a company to inspire our Single Mothers.
Firstly we would like to thank Ms. Betty Yeoh, the Project Director of All Women's Action Society (AWAM) who delivered a motivational talk entitled "How to Move Forward". The talk conveyed a inspirational vision and assurance to all Single Mothers to believe in their strength and capability, continue fighting for the future of their own and their children. And we want to thank DSP Foo Chek Seng from Bukit Aman for conducting a beneficial talk entitled "Safety Awareness" for the mothers on how to stay alert and vigilant toward robbery cases.
After two motivational and beneficial talks, we have Mary Kay Beauty Consultants who volunteered their time to conduct a facial and pampering session for our mothers. All of the mothers who always on the run - work to earn a living, running errands for the children, taking care of the needs of the family, you name it! So they could hardly have time to think about their needs. Thanks to Mary Kay Beauty Consultant who granted a precious "ME" time for these mothers. Some of them even was the first time to apply Facial Mask, drawing eyeliner and mascara.
The program ended by a generous lunch treat by DoubleTree by Hilton Kuala Lumpur at the renowned Makan Kitchen.
Once again, we want to thank DoubleTree by Hilton Kuala Lumpur for drawing Happy Smiles on these Single Mothers' faces. You have indeed leave an impact in these mother lives, given them encouragement to move on in their lives!

Mary Kay Staff Touched the Lives of Single Mothers
23 August 2016, Mary Kay Pink Changing Lives Single Mothers Makeover Session
Last Friday, Mary Kay staff and beautician came over to our centre to have a makeover session for 10 single mothers who are also beneficial families of HOPE worldwide Malaysia in the Food Distribution and Education Programs. It was such a heartwarming session as during the makeover session, the beautician get to listen to the single mothers' hard fighting stories and their bravery in breaking through different hardships to fend for their children's future.
This makeover session meant a lot for these Single Mothers. Taking care of themselves is the least thing these Single Mothers ever think about. They are the breadwinners and as well the nurturer for the families. They wear many hats and play different roles. Hence, Mary Kay would like to take this opportunity to have a relaxing moment for these Single Mothers. Yet most importantly, Mary Kay would like to deliver a very important message to these mothers - Confidence. Taking care of their appearance also mean to boost the self confidence in them. Mary Kay sees the strength in these mothers and would like to install and empower them with confidence to socialize, and as well carry themselves gracefully in their workplace.
Besides, Mary Kay also contributed groceries for these mothers. We also appreciate the rest of Mary Kay's staff volunteers joining the creative art activities in reaching out to the children of the single mothers.
Through this year Pink Changing Lives CSR Campaign, Mary Kay has raised a total of RM 30,000.00 for the operation cost of our organization community programs that focused on 3 core areas of the urban poor community - Health & Medical, Food & Nutrition and Education & Empowerment.

Mary Kay Christmas Party 2013 - a Joyful CHRISTMAS "TREE" Decoration!
12 December 2013, Mary Kay Christmas Party with Children of HOPE at KLPac
Thanks to Mary Kay for the consecutive years of support towards our programs. The yearly Christmas Celebration with Mary Kay has always been a highlight, and en event the children look forward to.
This year, we have another support from KLpac as the Official Venue Sponsor for this meaningful event.
The biggest highlight of this year celebration was the "DECORATION OF CHRISTMAS TREE"! Well, as you can see, eventually the Mary Kay staffs became the "TREE", and were creatively decorated by the children. The children had opportunities to contribute their ideas and creativity for the decoration.
Eventually there was an award given to the Most Creatively Decorated Christmas "Tree" =)
Besides, each team presented its team cheer too! It was always exciting to see the children and staff so out of themselves, seizing the moments and building friendships with one another.
Through all these activities, the children were so inspired and encouraged.
The party ended by the staff presenting gifts to the children. The fun part was the children were given the presents randomly, and the children needed to hand the presents to the right person by referring to the name labeled on each gift.
The girls got teddy bears while the boys had hot wheels toys.
After the Christmas party, we had lunch together at the Societe Cafe. It was such a memorable and wonderful time spent together. Once again, we would like to thank Mary Kay and KLpac for your generosity and great effort in making this event happened for the children.

Carey Ng's Community Project "Girls Day Out"
29 September 2013, Carey Ng and Miss Universe Malaysia 2014 Finalists Community Project "Girls Day Out" at Alliance Française de Kuala Lumpur
It was an inspiring workshop, which is a personal initiative by Carey Ng, the Miss Universe Malaysia 2013, was a community project to motivate the teenage girls aged from 15 to 18 years old. Carey named it "Girls Day Out".
A total of 38 teenage girls from HOPE worldwide Kuala Lumpur & Rumah HOPE participated the event. It was a whole day workshop with lots of activities such as self-esteem development, discover personal strength conducted by motivational speaker Ms. Sandra, and also some testimony sharing by other invited speakers like Actress/Model/Celebrity Carmen Soo and Singer/Songwriter Juwita Suwito.
Alongside with Carey were the 6 finalists of Miss Universe Malaysia 2014 to be the "Big Sisters" for the 38 teenage girls throughout the day.
One of the participants from HOPE worldwide Kuala Lumpur was Patricia, who was a beneficial of HOPE worldwide few years ago. Her life changing story sharing session was one of the highlight of the day. Patricia shared about how she, as a female worked hard in the automotive industry, an industry which is dominated by majority men. And after years of gaining experiences, she will be fulfilling her dream, by opening her very own workshop in year 2014, together with her brother.
Another important highlight of the day, was the appointment of Ms. Carey Ng as the Ambassador of HOPE worldwide Malaysia. We first met Carey during the Groupon's Charity Campaign "Be the Difference" with Miss Universe Malaysia 2013 finalists. During that times, Carey was the Ambassador for HOPE worldwide Malaysia and we had raised a total of RM 5,390.00. Soon after she was crowned as the Miss Universe Malaysia 2013, she has been actively involving in our community programs. Carey has been a very dear friend to HOPE worldwide Malaysia and we appreciate all of her effort and great heart for this noble cause.
To make this workshop a special one, Carey spontaneously choreographed and performed a dance in front of everyone. It was a dance based on the song "Proud" by Heather Small. Halfway through her dance, she invited the 38 teenage girls to be on stage with her, and the performance closed up by her giving crowning each and every teenage girl, giving them an affirmation, that they are a beauty of themselves, carrying their dreams and strength with them.
By the end of the workshop, the 38 teenage girls together with their "Big Sisters" wrote down the bad habits they would like to eliminate in their lives on the helium balloons, and they will have to release the balloons to the sky together. Some of them even written down their wishes and dreams. By releasing the balloons, it's a sign of promise to themselves, that they will make it happen in their lives. It was such a meaningful and touching moment!
Once again, we would like to thank Carey, for all your effort, and hardwork putting in to make this workshop happened for these 38 girls. They had indeed impacted by you and the rest of the "Big Sisters" alongside with the invited guest speakers. Credits also go to Carey's parents who had done the decoration of this event together with Carey. We wish you all the best in your journey to Moscow to compete with 86 pageants from all over the world for the prestigious title - Miss Universe 2013/14! Carey, you had indeed made everyone of us, include the nation proud of you!
We would like to specially thank to Mary Kay as being the goodies sponsor and also for Ms. Elaine Daly, the mentor of Carey, by giving advice to Carey to carry out this community project. Thanks to Alliance Française de Kuala Lumpur for providing the location and great atmosphere for the workshop.

To appreciate Mary Kay's sponsorship for this project, we dedicated a Mural Painitng for Mary Kay. On 05 Sep, Mary Kay's General Manager, Mr. Nas with the Marketing Team were here in the Clinic, to complete the Mural Painting. It was a remarkable moments, with a few children and their parents there, witnessing this heartwarming moment. Mr. Nas also take this opportunity to visit the clinic and communicate with the patients and doctor.
Besides, HOPE worldwide Malaysia is invited to attend Mary Kay's 50th year Anniversary at Berjaya Times Square Hotel Ballroom on 14 Sep 2013. The Children Choir from HOPE worldwide Malaysia will perform a song on that day too!
