What is BOLATHON?

BOLATHON is a fundraising event inspired by the 4-year-once Global Football Event, and it is solely organized by Persatuan Kebajikan HOPE worldwide Kuala Lumpur.

This SPORTS-THEMED event assembles all Nations & Races for a good cause! The participants will dress up themselves with the Football theme (or anything with their creativity) and go for a 3KM walkathon.

This is the essence of the entire event, hence we named it

BOLATHON Charity Masquerade Walk

Its Objective is to raise funds for HOPE worldwide Malaysia’s Community Programs for the underprivileged which focus on Health, Food & Education.

The History of BOLATHON

The first debut of BOLATHON was in year 2006!

The 1^st Bolathon in 2006 was officiated by YB Mr. Ng Lip Yong, who was the Deputy Minister of National Trade & Industry. Our list of corporate sponsors were Adidas, Cadbury, Dominos Pizza, Fitness First, Gardenia, Hotel Equatorial, King’s Confectionery, Lion Group, Nestle Malaysia, Friday’s, Dentyne and Wood’s

 This event brings friends and family together for a recreational moment, it also promotes team work spirit.

The 2^nd BOLATHON on 2010 was another great excitement!

 It was held in TTDI Taman Rimba and we had bigger crowd and worked with more corporate sponsors.

We also had the corporate sponsors to form their football teams and play against with each other. HOPE worldwide volunteers also form a football team ourselves!

The 3^rd BOLATHON on 2014 was even greater with a total of 2,400 participants!

 It was held in Padang Merbok and we had bigger crowd this time as we added another category - 10KM Fun Run.

The greatest attraction of the event was the Medal that sponsored by Adidas!

Honsbridge Charity Bazaar Makes a Difference

28 August 2016, Honsbridge International School Charity Bazaar

The atmosphere was lit at Honsbridge. Lit, noisy and tons of fun. That’s because the school had a charity fundraiser on that day. Honsbridge students & teachers, or Honnets, for short, were involved in lots of activities, games and food, mainly a creative flag competition and a soda stall serving lemonade & Infusion (you should’ve tried Infusion, it had a great mix of lemonade & grape!). The action picks up as the Honnets moved the fundraiser to the front door of the school. Loud music, cakes, cookies and tanks of lemonade & Infusion were involved.

On the other side of Dataran Sunway, at Sunway Giza, our other fellow Honnets, including acting Principal Alistair and marketing guy Alston, are busy raising awareness of Honsbridge’s educational benefits to passing Giza shoppers.

Both events coincide with the upcoming Merdeka celebrations, as they create unity among Honnets of varying races & ages from all over Honsbridge.

Thanks Honsbridge for selecting us as one of the beneficial NGO of this charity bazaar. Thumbs up to your fundraising effort and we hope that we can able to work again in the near future!

Hi Friends of HOPE!

We are so excited to announce to you that we are in the midst of preparing for our significantly awesome fundraising event - BOLATHON 2014~!

BOLATHON is a fundraising event inspired by the 4-year-once significant occasion – FIFA World Cup.

This SPORTS-THEMED event assembles All Nations & Races for a good cause! The participants will dress up themselves with the Football theme (anything with their creativity) and go for a 3KM walkathon.

12 Hours Board Games Marathon for a Good Cause

Dear Friends of Hope,

You are cordially invited to attend a fun-filled 12-hours Marathon - not by running, but by playing several Board Games.

Persatuan Kebajikan HOPE worldwide Penang is organizing a fundraising event entitled “Board Games Marathon Family Carnival” with the details as follow:
 

Event Name : Board Games Marathon Family Carnival

Date : 06 October 2013 (Sun)

Time : 9am to 9pm

Venue : Straits Quay, Penang

 

To attend the Board Games Marathon, you just need to make a minimum donation of RM 20.00; with this, you are entitled ONE coupon to redeem the items from the Charity Carnival.

The participants will get the chance to explore different board games such as Catan, Bang, 7 Wonders, Ticket to Ride, Dixit, Saboteur, Jungle Speed, Toc Toc Woodman and many more with fabulous prizes up for grab. Apart from this, there will be Scrabble tournament & kids coloring contest, together with free health screening and mini bazaar to cheer the day.

The proceeds of this event shall be fully donated to HOPE worldwide Penang’s community programs such as: Free Pediatric Clinic, Free Mobile Clinic, English Reading Program, 1 Stop IT Resource Centre and Youth Program.

Wisma Genting Charity Bazaar raised RM 200K

02 July 2013, Wisma Genting Charity Bazaar Cheque Presentation Ceremony at Wisma Genting

Wisma Genting Charity Bazaar had raised RM 200,000.00 for 5 Charity Homes - Persatuan Kebajikan HOPE worldwide KL, Cheshire Home Selangor, Harvest Centre (Dignity for Children), United Voice and Malaysian Association for the Blind. The Cheque Presentation was held on 02 July 2013. The representatives from the beneficial NGOs and the employees from Genting Group who participated in the Charity Bazaar attended the ceremony. Puan Sri Cecilia Lim was the guest of honor. It was a heartwarming session to have Puan Sri to cut the cake together with the beneficial NGOs representatives as a celebration for the success of this Charity Bazaar.

The Charity Bazaar was held on 14 June 2013 at the Open Car Park area of Wisma Genting and the response was truly excellent. Many people such as the employees and outsiders came and supported the good cause. The first Charity Bazaar was held on 07 June 2010.

"Comix Land" Family Carnival Charity Day 2012

Family Carnival Charity Day – Bonding Time for a Good Cause!

Holidays may come and go, yet there is always the next excitement we shall looking forward to! Our 2nd Family Carnival Charity Day is preparing its way for another great blast of Fun, Food and Games - And this time, the excitement begins with the Theme - Comix Land!

The details for our Family Carnival Charity Day is as follow:

Date: 06 October 2012 (Saturday)

Time: 8am to 5pm

Venue: Dataran Petaling Jaya (Opposite Amcorp Mall)

This year, we are marching towards the Beautiful Dataran Petaling Jaya with the below programs and activities:

- Mysterious Comics Characters Appearance and Photo Shooting Session.

- Varieties of Bazaar Stalls which including of mouthwatering delicacies, thirst quenching beverages, groceries, clothing, and Games Stalls.  

- Lucky Draws with varieties of valuable Electrical Items.

On top of that, our objective has always be the same for organizing the Family Carnival Charity Day – raise funds to sustain our current programs in Persatuan Kebajikan HOPE worldwide Kuala Lumpur, which supports the Free Clinic, Food Distribution and Education Programs for the poor families in Sentul.
