Thanks to Sun Life Malaysia and our basketball coaches who arrange the friendly match for our youths with the basketball team from SMK Bukit Bintang.

It was a fierce match as both the teams had given their very best to play, nevertheless, it was a memorable time for our youths as they got to learn different playing skills from other basketball team, and it boosts their confidence to get prepared for the next match in the coming months. Indeed, it was a good training and exposure for our youths.

This is the 4th year since we established the Basketball Clinic with Sun Life Malaysia. This is an inspiring CSR Program that connects our youths with the staff volunteers and as well a few basketball coaches who eventually not only becoming their mentor but as well their friends. And this connection made a difference for our youths, to always strive to give their best, though at times, the weekly training could be tough for them.

Sun Life Malaysia Brighter YOU Basketball Clinic Program has come to the 3rd Season for our Youths! Recalling the beginning till today, witnessing the growth and transformation of those youths who have been joining the training program since the first season is indeed an exciting journey.

We wanna thank Sun Life Malaysia for your trust and support which sustain the program for 3 consecutive years.Since then, the Brighter YOU Basketball Clinic has impacted more than 25 youths.

Last Saturday, we close up the 3rd season with a Basketball Tournament among the youths and the staff volunteers from Sun Life Malaysia. Awards were presented to the marvelous teams, and this year, we have an additional award - Most Vauable Player Award that specially presented to one of the best performed youth throughout the past 3 seasons - he is Kajannand Kumar.

Kajannand Kumar who used to be a timid player during the first season, through his determination and perseverance, and as well the tremendous effort by our basketball coaches, he has transformed to a youth with self confidence and great self-esteem. Kajannand is a discipline player who could hardly miss any of the training sessions.

Our gratitude also goes to all the coaches who have walked into the lives of these youths. You guys are not only basketball coaches, but friends who have inspired each one of them.

Here we look forward for greater journey together in 2017!

Sun Life Malaysia Brighter YOU Basketball Tournament Season 2

The Brighter YOU Season 2 Basketball Tournament is finally here at Hoops Station Basketball Arena, Summit USJ!

Thanks to Sun Life Malaysia for your continuous support in making this event so meaningful for the youths by educating them the importance of cultivating a healthy lifestyle.

Most of the youths were part of the basketball training since 2014 when the program just established. We can see the transformation of these youths, since the first time they joined the training in 2014, now they become a group of joyful and energetic youths, embracing the benefits of cultivating healthy lifestyle, building meaningful friendships among themselves and also the tireless volunteers from Sun Life Malaysia, who were there for them through every training session.

The tournament is a like a graduation ceremony for these Youths, practicing the skills they had learned throughout the year from their awesome coaches. Together with the youths, are the volunteer staff from Sun Life Malaysia. We had 4 teams in total, competing to become the champion team!

Below are the results of the tournament:

Champion: Team Jeremy Lin
1st Runner Up: Team Yao Ming
2nd Runner Up: Team Michael Jordan
3rd Runner Up: Team Kobe Bryant
