Last Thursday was a memorable day as it was the launching of CIMB Aviva Corporate Responsibility programs with HOPE worldwide Kuala Lumpur by donating a total amount of RM 100,000.00 for the usage of several Education Programs as below:
a) Street to School Sponsorship
b) After school Education Support
c) My Pocket Money
d) Back To School
CIMB Aviva has an objectives that - Education is the only way to breakthrough poverty. For the less fortunate children, education has always a challenge for them. They do not have a right environment - direction, encouragement, love and concern. Looking to the core needs of this children, CIMB Aviva had came out a series of programs which is going to help the children not only in academic performances, yet to ease the financial burden of their parents too.
"I came from a very humble background too, the only way is to work hard," said Ms. Angela Christine Tan, the Director of Proposition & Distribution Management of CIMB Aviva who was there giving her opening speech during the launching ceremony at Sentul Centre of HOPE worldwide Kuala Lumpur (Creative Art Classroom). She as well indicated to the parents and children, that she is so grateful as she is now in a position to help those in need.
On that day, about 50 parents and children attended the ceremony. The parents and children who attended the ceremony are the ones been selected as beneficiaries for the education sponsorship programs funded by CIMB Aviva.
Right after the welcome speeches from Ms. Angela Christine Tan and Ms. Katy Lee, the Executive Director of HOPE worldwide Kuala Lumpur, was the certificates giving away ceremony to all the beneficiaries.
The parents and children were very grateful with the education sponsorship program by CIMB Aviva.
Right after the certificates giving away ceremony, CIMB Aviva hosted a light snacks for all everyone.
The duration of the education sponsorship program for the beneficiaries from CIMB Aviva will be one year. During this one year program, the children not only receiving monthly pocket money as well, there will be a Saturday "After School tuition program" to strengthen their English, Malay and Mathematics.
