KFC & Pizza Hut Sharing Moments with the community at Sekolah Kebangsaan Kambug, Padawan, Kuching
During this Raya Holiday, a group of 25 volunteers from Swinburne University Charity Cruiser Club (SCCC), reached out to 50 families at Sekolah Kebangsaan Kambug, Padawan. Thanks to KFC, Pizza Hut and World Hunger Relief Malaysia, we are able to bring in KFC Meals and Groceries for this rural community.
We also want to thank Mr. Lawrence, the Headmaster of SK Kambug, who extended your support and welcome us with open arms.
SK Kambug is located at one of rural areas in Padawan, it took about 1.5 hours for us to travel from Kuching to reach the school. The 50 families who received the groceries supply are low income family group with average monthly income of RM 250 to 350.00
Some of the families who received the groceries, whose homes are at the hilly villages, shall take them about 2 hours to walk home while carrying their groceries.
It warms our hearts as the children receive the KFC Meals with joyful smile on their faces.
Thanks to all fellow volunteers from Swinburne Charity Cruiser Club (SCCC) who have given your time and heart, in reaching out to the families and children, who have made this festive season a memorable one for them.
