Mary Kay
Malaysia reached out to 150 urban poor families at the Sentul Community through
volunteering in the Food Distribution Program at the Sentul Free Clinic of
HOPE.
Tracing back history, when Mary
Kay Ash founded her Company, she often emphasized the importance of giving back
to others. Since then, Mary Kay has been changing the lives of women and
children around the world. Now, it is part of the Mary Kay legacy to
continue making a difference in the lives of underprivileged.
Since 16
May this year, Mary Kay Malaysia has initiated “Beauty That Counts” CSR fund
raising campaign through the sales of the limited edition* Beauty that
CountsTM fragrance.
Through
this Food Distribution Program, Mary Kay aims to provide children with nutritional and
balanced diet they need for good health in order for them to have the ability
to learn better in school and reach their potential.
“A child’s well-being, education and health are very
important aspects we need to take into consideration because they are our
future leaders of the world. Through this Food Distribution Program, we hope to
be able to give the best to the less fortunate children to have nutritional and
balanced diet so they can grow up healthily” says Nasution Abdul Rahman,
General Manager of Mary Kay Malaysia and Singapore.
“This is
the 5th year that of Mary Kay’s CSR Collaboration with HOPE worldwide Malaysia,” said Ms. Katy Lee,
the Executive Director of HOPE worldwide Malaysia, “and we are very grateful
and inspired with Mary Kay’s great CSR Initiatives which had impacted millions
of lives, not only in Malaysia, but globally. We are so honoured to be part of
this journey.”
For more
than 50 years Mary Kay Inc. has been committed to enriching the lives of women
and children around the world. Through Mary Kay’s global cause-related
marketing program, Beauty that CountsTM, consumers can help
join their efforts to make a positive community impact by purchasing the

that CountsTM began in 2008, Mary Kay has donated almost $7
