Activity Learning Program with ATC Students

15 Jan 2011, Sentul Centre of HOPE worldwide Kuala Lumpur

Well, we have a group of Law Students from ATC College!

This group of students are going to play an act - "The Importance of being Earnest" on 29 Jan 2011 at Malaysia Tourism Centre, while HOPE worldwide is the beneficial Charity Organization, part of the income of the tickets revenue will be donated to HOPE worldwide Malaysia.

This group of future stage actors and actresses were so excited to drop by and say "Hi" to the children!

Never judge a book by its cover. I always have a impression that law students are serious and could hardly stay relax. But I was wrong! During the last weekend, this group of students had indeed done a great job in reaching out the underprivileged children's needs by organizing a very fruitful Activity Learning Program.

To start off the day, we have some singing of nursery rhymes. Right after that, the students planned an act to tell a story to the children - THE MONKEY BRIDGE. Its a story about a Lion who command the monkeys to form him a bridge so that he can get across the river.

Here are the pictures:

"Form me a bridge!" the lion roared at the monkeys!

The narrators

The monkeys shouted:"The bridge is ready!"

The lion crossing the river by using the "monkey" bridge... without his conscious, something gonna "
surprise
" him :)

Here the monkeys preparing...

Achoooooo... one of the monkey sneezed and the bridge "broken", and guess what? The lion fell into the river!

This is the lesson of not being courteous. A good moral that everyone should learn.

Right after that, we proceed to games. The children were all separated into groups. And one piece of mahjong paper was given to each group.

Then the music begins, the children were allowed to dance or walk around until the music stops. Once the music stop, each group had to ensure that they were stepping on the paper and not outside the paper.

As the games went on, we will fold the mahjong paper smaller and smaller so to make the games become more and more challenging.

And a lot of funny and chaotic scenes happened during the games, let's view some of the pictures:

Everyone were concentrate with the briefing of games

In the beginning, it was just easy...

Oops, our paper getting getting smaller

Whoa.... how to stand can all of us on such a small paper?

Danus and Jayraz made it~!!!!

Argh~~~~!

Let's have a group picture!

Eventually, it was a fun-filled afternoon to have the ATC students here with us! We hope to see you again, and all the best for the play!

Pan Malaysia Pool "Da Ma Cai" 2011 Chinese New Year Charity Celebration

13 Jan 2011 @ Selangor Turf Club, Sg. Besi

What will you do for Chinese New Year?

Year in year out, it's like a routine occasion, many of us usually do not take much time to think about it. If this is still a question for me to answer, I think I will say - spend as much time as possible with the beloved family members, treasure every moment of sharing and laughters.

It is not wrong, and seems very right and good thing for everyone to put effort in doing it. It's about our lives, the one we love the most. Yet, we seldom think about others. Especially those who are less fortunate.

What about those who do not have a shelter as home?

Or those who do not even have a family member to love and care?

Think about those who are in poverty, loneliness, sickness and depression.

I think Pan Malaysia Pool has been doing the right thing for organizing this annual Chinese New Year Charity Celebration. It has indeed create an awareness for the public, while we are too busy in doing our Chinese New Year Shopping, we somehow always do not see those who are truly in need of attention.

This festive season, Pan Malaysia Pool "Da Ma Cai" had done a noble cause by donating RM 750,000.00 to over 100 of Charity Organizations in Malaysia.

And we were so privileged to be one of the benefited NGOs.

On behalf of the underprivileged community of Sentul, I would like to express my deepest gratitude to Pan Malaysia Pool and Selangor Turf Club!

Chinese Tradition: The Lion Dance to kick start the event

Total of RM 750,000.00 donated by Pan Malaysia Pool. In the middle, The Deputy Minister of Finance of Malaysia Datuk Donald Lim Siang Chai, was the guest of honor of the day.

Awesome job to all the fellow charity workers, you have make a difference and stand out for those in need! Keep it up!
